MCCOSKER SUPER SEDAN SERIES TAKES CENTRE STAGE ON THE TOOWOOMBA ‘HIGH BANKS’

Press Release by the Super Sedan Association.

The off season is finally over and we’re back for the opening round of the McCosker Super Sedan Series brought to you by AFCO Shock Doctor, and the debut round of the Ultimate Super Sedan Championship at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway.

A strong twenty four car field will be headlined by Queensland Champion Brad Pascoe who returns to the venue for the first time in a Super Sedan where he won his Queensland Title just five months ago.

Pascoe has a new Sweet Chassis this season, and he will be hoping it will project him to another victory on the ‘high banks’ of Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway.

Pascoe will be joined by Tasmania’s Callum Harper who was the runner up in the Queensland Title last May, and was also the winner of the Harbour City Showdown at Gladstone last month banking $5000 in the process.

National Champion Trent Wilson will be right in the mix for opening round honours after surging to a top five finish last month at Gladstone.

Wilson will be looking to get his season off to a strong start as he builds towards his title defence next year.

Armed with a brand new Dominator Chassis, Darren Kane was the runner up at Gladstone, and is no stranger to success on the Toowoomba ‘high banks’ after claiming last seasons 10K to win Ian Boettcher Classic.

Kane will be hoping to go one better from Gladstone, with a win on Saturday night.

‘The Joker’ Steve Jordan showed plenty of speed at Toowoomba last season, but couldn’t put together a full night to lock in a strong result. Jordan will be looking to buck that trend on Saturday night.

There is a plethora of young talent in the field, with the likes of Hayden and Zac Brims, JJ Hamilton, and Zac Pascoe set to be joined by Victorian young gun Dylan Barrow who will be making his Super Sedan debut on Saturday night.

Drivers will face two rounds of heats, with the top six drivers on points heading to the Roll a Dice Dash with $500 going to the winner!

The winner will roll the dice, with the potential for a twelve car invert to set the field for the thirty lap main event.

Racing will kick off at 5pm, and if you’re not able to make it to the track you can watch live on Clay Per View.
