Sam McAuley has today ended his Junior Sedan career on the best possible note as he raced his way to victory in the fifteen lap Winter Classic Junior Sedan Top Stars feature at Ellenbrook Speedway.

McAuley started off slowly with a fourth place in the opening heat, but then claimed victory in the remaining two preliminaries to set up a front row start for the feature event.

Starting alongside Blake Webb, McAuley got the jump and was never headed as he led every circulation to round out his Junior career. Rahni Musarra also bought her Junior Sedan career to a close with a fine second place while Webb was good enough to hold on for third.

In the New Stars Junior Sedan feature Matthew Thomson, who won the last feature at Ellenbrook, led for ten laps in thefeature but it was Darryl George who made a great pass to then race away and grab the win. Beau Oldfield, who had earlier in the feature spun and been sent rear, would race his way back through the field and grab second place in the final corner while Thomson would hold on for third.

The next meeting at Ellenbrook Speedway will be the Christmas in July event on the 23rd of July.
