Press Release from the IBRP Kingaroy Speedway
After a lot deliberation & consultation from Queensland Health concerning the border restrictions that are in place when entering Queensland the South Burnett Speedway Club has made the hardest decision we have had to make that the 2021 KINGS ROYAL as we know it has been cancelled for 2021.
These restrictions are as follows: “At this point in time, under the Chief Health Officer Direction Border restrictions Direction No. 21, anyone entering Queensland from New South Wales is required to apply for a Queensland Border Declaration Pass before entering Queensland.
At this point in time, anyone travelling to Queensland who has been in Victoria on or since Monday 21 December 2020, should get tested in Queensland once they reach their destination and quarantine at home or their accommodation until receiving a negative COVID-19 test result.”
However as stated above we will still be running an event here at Ian Boettcher Race Parts Kingaroy Speedway over the 3 nights Friday 22nd, Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th of January 2021.
This will be known as “THE ROYAL STAMPEDE featuring the Harry & Megan Cups”. We will still have The Modified Sedans Harry Cup (also usually known as the Kings Royal), Production Sedans, Street Stocks, the Megan Cup (also usually known as the Queens Royal), Modlites & the Junior Sedans has been added to the program.

All nominations for all classes received will be carried over however if you are unable to attend & would like to withdraw please message the speedway facebook page.
Remember all nominations close this Sunday at 5pm including Junior Sedans that have been added to the program
