The 2021/2022 KCM Transport WA Modified Sedan Series will return to life this weekend at the Makit Hardware Narrogin Speedway.
The second round of the series is proudly supported by local business Stevens Ceilings, who have continued their support of Modified Sedan racing in Western Australia.
Luke Fraser will enter the weekend as a firm favourite having taken out the opening round of the series three weeks ago, though you can never discount any of the other drivers who could figure prominently including Anthony King who was very quick in Moora and Lee Watt, who is beginning to come to grips with his new Holden Commodore.
Looking to bounce back this weekend will be WA Modified Sedan Champion, Jayke Malcolm who suffered mechanical dramas in the opening round, ending his feature race prematurely.
A couple of other drivers who will look to bounce back are Broome’s Mick Johnson and defending WA Modified Sedan Series champion, Branden Fraser.
Former WA Champion, Brendan Selleck is a driver you can never discount, as is home town favourite Coby Stevens, who will return to her home track with the WA Modified Sedan for the first time after her season off.
Albany duo of Michael Clark and Jason Batchelor will also be in the field for this weekend’s event and will be hoping for some luck with Clark unable to make the opening round in Moora and Batchelor suffering damage after contact with the concrete wall.
Rookie racer, Gaje Price along with series regulars Adam Houston, Shane Dubberlin and Merv Penn are the final drivers set for contention this weekend, with each of these drivers showing an increase in pace at the opening round in Moora.
Racing will get underway from 6pm this Saturday night at Makit Hardware Narrogin Speedway, courtesy of Stevens Ceilings.
All drivers will have three qualifying heats, before the Southern Stump and Mulching Services Top 6 Shootout and the twenty lap final.
