Justin Weir survived a arduous forty lap main event to claim the 2020/2021 SSA National 4’s QLD State Title last night at the Fraser Shores Maryborough Speedway.
Just nine cars greeted the chequered flag as hot and windy conditions made track preparation extremely challenging.
Clinton Lawrence unfortunately ended his race upside on the opening lap with Ryan Schultz, Russell Booth and Jim Cowley all going no further.
Defending champion Tim Weir looked set to claim his fourth State Title in a row in the class before his race ended with a flat tyre on lap twenty two.
For Justin Weir it was his second win in the event after claiming his first State Title in 2017 at his home track in Gympie.
