The final SSA Title of the season fires up this weekend as Wangaratta Speedway hosts the 2026 Lincolns Earthmoving SSA Production Sedan National Title for just the second time.

A strong seventy-one nominations have been received for the event from across the country, headlined by defending champion Joshua Harm.

Heading down the coast from his Queensland base, Harm will be looking to defend the crown he claimed in thrilling fashion last season at Toowoomba’s Hi-Tec Oils Speedway. With three feature wins already this season, he enters the event as one of the drivers to beat and keeping the #1 on the door is a huge motivation to perform well!

Also in the field is two-time former Champion Kyle Sayer. Making the journey from Western Australia, Sayer finished second to Harm last season, making it three years in a row he has finished on the podium. With five wins at home this season, the current WA Champion Sayer would love to reclaim the coveted A1 once again.

Veteran Stephen Laidlaw also returns to the field. While his back-to-back titles came over two decades ago, Laidlaw remains a threat, boasting multiple podium finishes in this event along with a feature win this season.

Fellow two-time champion Trevor Mills will also be chasing success, the 2016/17 and 2017/18 winner hoping to wind back the clock and add another national title to his résumé.

The last time this event was held at Wangaratta was back in 2008/09 when local member Chris Lack came away with the win. He is back in the field this weekend and would love to grab another one on home soil.

Also in the field are former Australia #2’s Dehne Sparrow (2018/19) and Wayne Bourke (2014/15). Bourke already has a feature race win this season while Sparrow has three wins this season and is the current SSA Production Sedan Victorian Champion, set to put his Title on the line next weekend.

Joining State Champions Sparrow and Sayer in the field is New South Wales champion Jordan Biviano is in the field, while all states around Australia are represented, Jason Duell from South Australia, Andy Russell from Tasmania, three cars representing WA, and strong contingents from Queensland, New South Wales and of course home State Victoria.

In-form drivers include Kurtis Peall with three wins this season, while Russell, Clint Noakes, Neil Keldoulis and Scott Hawkins have all recorded multiple feature victories. Felicity Roycroft also comes in with confidence after a recent Wangaratta win.

On-track action begins with scrutineering and practice on Thursday, before racing roars into life on Friday and Saturday night in what promises to be a spectacular conclusion to the SSA season.
