Press Release by WA Modified Sedans
The 2021/2022 KCM Transport WA Modified Sedan Series will continue this Saturday night for round four of the series at Make Smoking History, Collie Speedway for the annual Christmas Cup event.
Peter and Sharon Fraser from Civil Hirings have again thrown their support behind this round of the series, which will see a handy field of drivers take to the south-west venue that held the WA Modified Sedan State Title last season.
Current series leader, Lee Watt has been very quick in recent rounds and will hope to return to the top step of the podium this weekend, although he will have tough competition with series front runners Luke Fraser and Jayke Malcolm in the field, who battled it out right to the line at the same venue in last season’s state title.
Sam McAuley and Merv Penn had a strong run at the last round in Geraldton and will be ones to watch this weekend, as Coby Stevens, Calon Ball, Shane Dubberlin, Adam Houston and Gaje Price re-join the series in Collie.
This weekend will also see three drivers take to the track for their first round of the 2021/2022 KCM Transport WA Modified Sedan Series with Bunbury veteran Kim Williams entering for the event along with Carnarvon’s Glenn Harper and Perth’s Brendan Higgs.
Some noticeable absences from this weekend’s event include Anthony King and Branden Fraser, who each suffered mechanical dramas after the last round in Geraldton and Allan Mortimer who cannot compete due to work commitments.
Racing action will get underway from 6pm on Saturday night at the Make Smoking History, Collie Speedway courtesy of Civil Hirings and will feature hot laps, three qualifying heats for each driver, the Southern Stump and Mulching Services Shootout and twenty-lap final.
