This Saturday night the Super Sedan Summer Series in Western Australia commences at the Narrogin Speedway with a good field entered for the season opener.
Sixteen drivers have entered for the first round of the series, which includes Gary Higgs.
Higgs had an extremely busy off season, and has fully recovered after donating a kidney to his son Dustin. Dad has lost ten kilos since the operation, but he is ready to go, said Dustin. The car has been totally rebuilt from the ground up, after I trashed it at Albany, Dustin added.
It will be a big season for Gary Higgs, who will contest every round of the Summer Series apart from the Geraldton round, and it will also see the highly experienced racer compete at Valvoline Raceway in the Speedway Sedans Australia, National Super Sedan Title, something that Higgs is very much looking forward to.
Saturday night will see Higgs face stiff opposition from several drivers including Kevin Bell. I am really looking forward to Narrogin, we have some new drivers, new cars, and more to come, so it is promising, I just need some luck, said Bell.
The field also includes Chris Pavlovich who has won a Feature race recently at Mt Barker, Damon Trouchet, Dean Shore, Kemble Aylett and Bert Vosbergen.
Events on Saturday night are also scheduled for Junior Sedans, Street Stock and Production Sedans, with racing scheduled to commence at 5.00pm WST.
