Dustin Higgs has piloted the family owned Sweet to victory in twenty five lap main event for the 2022 Open Championships for Super Sedans at Albany’s Attwell Park Speedway in Western Australia on New Years Day 2022.
Higgs was unstoppable across the night as he all three of his qualifying heats before going on to lead the thirty five main event from start to finish.
Broome’s Phil Barton worked his way into second place by race end after the demise of both Lee Aylett and Rob Knox who ran inside the top three until late in the race.
Albany local Adam Campbell was eventually third from Kemble Aylett & Kevin Bell who came from position eleven to be in fifth place by the end of the twenty five laps.
Aydan Trewern warmed up for the upcoming 2021/2022 Batchelor Industries SSA Modified Sedan WA State Title in best possible fashion by claiming the prelude event narrowly from Brendan Selleck & Laurie Dowsett.
The SSA Modified Sedan WA State Title will be held in Albany on Saturday 22nd January 2022.
