Twenty four year old Brad Herbert has had a stellar first season in Modified Sedans, culminating with the victory in the Tasmanian Modified Sedan Title.
Herbert will be hoping that form continues when he competes in the Speedway Sedans Australia, Octane Alley, National Modified Sedan Title, on Saturday, 31 March 2018 and Sunday, 1 April 2018.
Herbert started his racing career at the age of ten, and after a stint in Junior Sedans and then Wingless Sprints, Herbert this year moved into Modified Sedans, which has lead to six Feature Race wins, including his maiden State Title win.
For our first season in Modified Sedans, we have had a great one, winning our state title and six features, and having had a lot of fun, Herbert explains.
Driving a Holden VZ Commodore, the Brighton resident, is hoping to make the A Main. I love a slick track, it seems to really suit me and the car, Herbert adds.
When asked about the racing scene in Tasmania, with smaller car counts and competition, Herbert was buoyant about the racing in Tasmania and the challenge ahead. Smaller car counts and racing on less tracks, and track types, might a disadvantage maybe, but this season the cars we have down here (Tasmania) have brought some very challenging an hard fought racing, which has been great for the class and the State. I am very keen to see where we are at compared to our mainland competition, Herbert said.
My pick going off performance and pace at Horsham would be Andrew Blackwell, Herbert remarked when asked who he thought would be the driver to beat.
