Callum Harper has laid down a big marker ahead of next month’s North South 50, taking out a dominant victory in round six of the Victorian Super Sedan Series at Heartland Raceway Moama.

Harper kicked off his night with a commanding win in the opening heat of the night. Daryl Moon made his first start of the season and crossed the line second ahead of Mick Nicola Jnr in third.

Harper made it two for two in the second heat of the night, again crossing the line from Moon in second, and Dave Mackenzie in third.

Tyson Moon dominated proceedings in heat three crossing the line six seconds clear of Harper in second, with Daryl Moon rounding out the podium in third.

Jamie Collins took victory in the final heat of the night. Tyson Moon crossed the line second ahead of Ash Bergmeier in third.

Harper qualified on pole position for the twenty lap A Main with Daryl Moon joining him on the front row.

Harper jumped to the lead from the start, Tyson Moon settled into second, ahead of his Dad Daryl in third, Nicola Jnr in fourth, and Bergmeier in fifth.

Nicola Jnr took third from Moon on the third circulation, and began to chase down the lead pair.

Harper out front had a built a sizeable lead as he began to work into lap traffic.

Bergmeier moved to fourth on lap eight, as Hayden Brims driving the S18 moved into the top five.

Harper made his way through heavy lap traffic and his lead began to shrink, but he held strong to claim his sixth feature victory of the season.

Moon gave gallant chase, but ran out of time to cross the line second, ahead of Nicola Jnr who rounded out the podium.

Bergmeier finished fourth, from Brims in fifth, ahead Daryl Moon in sixth in what was an impressive first outing for the season.

Jamie Collins was next across the line in seventh, from Dave Mackenzie in eighth, Darren Giacometti in ninth, Ricky Ashmore in tenth, and Lionel West the final finisher in eleventh.

The Victorian Super Sedan Series will return on March 2nd at Nyora.
