A major coup has been secured for Production Sedans, who have been given the role as the support division for the National Super Sedan Title, to be held at the premier NSW venue, Valvoline Raceway, Sydney, in March 2018.

Speedway Sedans Australia Board Member Benny Taylor is very excited by the development.

Production Sedans are by far the most popular division in New South Wales, and we are extremely appreciative of the opportunity the management team at Valvoline Raceway has given Production Sedans to be the only support division on the card.

Super Sedans will obviously be the main act, but this standalone event will be just as exciting.

It will be run over the two nights and will be formatted similar to that of a Title. We have been in close contact with Valvoline Raceway Race Director Wayne Baines, and are exploring the possibility of perhaps including a first night preliminary final or redemption race where the bottom half of point scorers contest a preliminary final for heat race points to improve their final night point standings.

This is generally the norm at Valvoline Raceway and if things are favourable with the usual National Title fanfare, it will be quite interesting.

There has been a lot of interest already from all the east coast Production Sedan States, and we are hopeful of some WA teams making the trek to be a part of the weekend, Taylor said.

With still four months until the event, further information will be forthcoming in the near future.
