David Gartner has been announced as the Grand Marshall for the Speedway Sedans Australia, Coopers National Street Stock Title, to be held at Adelaide Motorsports Park, on Friday 16 February 2018 and Saturday, 17 February 2018.
Gartner, a proud South Australian, won two National Street Stock Titles in 1997 and 1998 at Arunga Park and Mt Gambier, along with winning three consecutive South Australian Titles between 1996 and 1998. He also finished second in 1995 and third in 1992 to be one of the most recognisable names in South Australian Speedway.
Both of Gartners sons, Mark and Steve will be competing in the title.
Gartners career after Street Stock has continued in Super Sedan ranks, winning the last three State Titles, winning four in all, with one runner-up placing and two third placings as well. Gartner also has finished as the runner-up in the National Super Sedan Title three times.
Gartner was thrilled to be asked by Adelaide Motorsports Park management to be the Grand Marshall for the event, which will have a spectacular opening, with Gartner to lead out the 122 drivers in the Grand Parade.
