The forty third running of the time honoured Super Sedan Grand Prix will be held this Friday and Saturday night at the Gulf Western and Independent Oils Raceway, Latrobe, with a great field entered for the two night event.

Twenty six drivers are entered, one of the strongest line-ups in many years.

Defending Champion, Callum Harper, will be hard to beat again this year, despite not winning at the Latrobe venue this season. Harper who travelled interstate prior to Christmas, has tasted success on three occasions this season, most recently at Gympie in the Super Sedan Summer Slam.

That event was totally dominated by Queensland Champion, Matt Pascoe, who not only won the final three rounds of the series, he has since then won at Lismore, to make it four consecutive feature wins, with the 2013 winner of this event looking to keep his amazing run going at Latrobe.

National Champion, Darren Kane, returns to his native Tasmania, to try again to win the Grand Prix which has eluded him time and time again. He will be joined by a very strong contingent of drivers from the mainland, including Steve Jordan, Dave Gartner, Ryan Alexander, Mick Nicola, Peter Nicola, Lucas Roberts, Lachlan Onley and Sean Black to name a few.

Heat racing will be contest on Friday night, with further heats prior to the A Main on Saturday night.

Racing will also be held for Junior Sedans and Street Stock from 6.00pm EDST
