The first SSA National Title of 2026 officially gets underway tomorrow, with scrutineering launching proceedings for the 2026 SSA Junior Sedan National Title at Tyres & More Esperance Speedway.

After days of travel from across the country, eighty-six Junior Sedans have arrived in Esperance, setting the scene for a massive opening to the national title calendar.

Esperance Speedway has already played host to several events this season as teams fine-tuned their packages in preparation for this weekend.

While one meeting was cut short by rain following the heat races, feature victories in the Junior Sedans at Esperance this season have gone to Jacob Hill, reigning WA Champion Oscar Amato, Joel Bowman and most recently Noah Bain. All four drivers enter the National Title in strong form and will be among those to watch once racing begins.

Across the nation during the 2025/26 season, the Junior Sedan division has already produced a deep field of proven race winners. Jack Pearce arrives fresh from being crowned Tasmanian Champion, while Cruz Carlin has recorded a couple of major feature wins, including the Queensland Championship.

Defending National Champion Harrison Beres has also enjoyed success with victories at NAPA Speedway, Tolmer and the prestigious Tom Green Memorial amongst others.

They are joined by a long list of drivers already on the winner’s list this season, with more than twenty-five drivers in this weekend’s field having already claimed a feature race win this season across the Nation highlighting the depth and competitiveness of the grid.

Scrutineering begins tomorrow morning, with times listed below as a reminder to competitors.

Practice will follow tomorrow afternoon, ahead of the opening three rounds of heat racing on Friday night. The final round of heats, along with the C, B and A Main events, will bring the 2026 SSA Junior Sedan National Title to a thrilling conclusion on Saturday night.
