An excellent field will assemble on Saturday night at Valvoline Raceway, for the opening round of the GJ Gardner Homes Super Sedan Series, with drivers from five States entering, at the venue which will host the 2017/2018 SSA National Super Sedan Title.

The field is headed by National Champion Darren Kane, who was in brilliant form at the Kingaroy Showgrounds two weeks ago. Kane will be hoping for fine weather on Saturday night, with the opening round A Main of the Queensland Series washed out, while last Saturday night at Valvoline Raceway, Kanes Feature Race was cancelled due to time constraints.

Kane will certainly not have it all his own way, with Victorian Champion, Peter Nicola also entered for his first event of the season.

Also appearing for the first time this season will be Ryan Alexander from South Australia. Alexander, who started from the front row for the National Title late last season, was prominent throughout the race, showing amazing car speed which will be critical to beating Kane on Saturday night.

Tasmanian Adam Beechey was also very quick at Avalon a week ago, and has been working overtime to repair his car after he almost rolled over. He will be joined by fellow Tasmanians Steve Latham and Corey Smith.

Lachlan Onley, Mick Nicola, Lucas Roberts and Queenslands Sam Roza are just a few of the other drivers who have entered for the event, which has a very handsome prizemoney payout of $8000.

Racing commences at 5.00pm EDST, with the event available to view via Clay-per-view, on Valvoline Raceways website.
