Thirty Five SSA Production Sedans are headed to the Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway in Northern New South Wales tomorrow night (Saturday) for the 2021 East Coast Grand National.
Featuring a massive prize pool, the East Coast Grand National has quickly gained a reputation as one of the biggest blue ribbon events for the class on the right hand side of the country.
National Champion Joel Berkley dominated the A Main of the 2020/2021 QLD State Title last weekend in Rockhampton and will start favourite for the East Coast Grand National after winning at Lismore earlier in the season.
A number of very fast Queenslanders are joining Berkley across the border including Bundaberg’s Frank Packer, Gympie’s Chris Pagel, Brisbane’s Darran Lester and Adrian Stott in the SC23 Ford Falcon.
SSA Production Sedans are a regular fixture at the Lismore and Grafton venues throughout the season, which has seen a significant increase in numbers in those clubs in recent times.
Jordan Biviano, Josh Boyd, Ash Graham, Matthew Layton and the experienced Stuart Fawcett will want a victory for the Lismore Automobile Club on home turf in the race that will pay $2500 to the winner of the main event.
Racing beings from 5pm tomorrow night with SSA Junior Sedans also on the program.
