The Street Stock, Duo Eliminator, was eliminated itself by the weather at the Redline Raceway on Saturday night, after all fifteen qualifying heats were conducted.
This is the second major Street Stock event to run foul of the weather at the Ballarat venue this season, after the King of the Mount event was also washed out.
The fifteen qualifying heats did produce some brilliant racing, with Brad McClure, Scott Secombe, Lenny Bates, Matt Nelson and Mick Dann all successful in the opening round. Mick Clark, Anthony Beare, Nelson, Bates and Darren Forrest would greet the chequered flag first in the middle stanza of heats, while Leigh Gooding, Mick Hetherington, Megan Forrest, Beare and Bates took the honours in the final round.
With all heats contested, Lenny Bates would come out on top as the highest pointscorer, from Matt Nelson and Anthony Beare.
