The Derby Speedway located in the Kimberley region of Western Australia has enjoyed a great two nights of competition over the course of the weekend for the annual Donny Archer Memorial.
With over eighty competitors in the pits, it was the SSA Street Stocks boasting a field of twenty five cars that provided some great entertainment.
Locals Robert Dunbar & Jake Hoath had a great battle for the lead in the SSA Street Stocks main event, with Dunbar barely holding on to victory in his Derby Bus Service backed FG Ford Falcon.
Curt Harris brought his Holden Commodore home in third as the Northern Territory’s Megan Henderson scored the victory in the SSA Street Stock feature race for ladies.
Preparations have already begun for the 2022 Donny Archer Memorial with the event to be once again be held the weekend following the Shinju Matsuri Festival Race Meeting in Broome.
