Round Six of the Tazz Auto Shots Tasmanian Super Sedan Series at the Autoklene Hobart Raceway is set to be a defining night in the 2024/25 series as two series contenders will play their Joker Cards for double points.
Steve Latham has been in commanding form so far this season, picking up three feature wins, and a runner up finish from his five starts so far.
Latham fell to second in the series standings after Callum Harper played his Joker Card last weekend, but with Harper absent this weekend, Latham will look to regain the ascendancy at the top of the series standings.
Corey Jetson returns to his home track off the back of his third podium finish of the season. Jetson is another driver that will play his Joker Card in a bid to surge into the top three in the series standings.
David Nichols made his first start of the season last weekend at Latrobe for a fourth placed finish. With a limited Tasmanian schedule Nichols will also play his Joker Card as he looks to propel himself up the standings before heading to the mainland in February.
Marcus Alexander came within a whisker of winning round three at Latrobe, and has followed that performance up with back to back top five finishes at Carrick and Latrobe. Alexander will look to keep his strong form going this weekend in Hobart.
Wayne Dillon currently sits third in the series standings. Dillon suffered his worst finish of the season last weekend at Latrobe, so will be looking to bounce back at his home track on Saturday night.
Nathan Howells holds down fourth in the series standings and will be hoping for a strong performance in front of his home town fans.
Dwaine Sonners suffered a big roll over last time out at Hobart. Sonners will be looking to put that behind him as he plays his Joker Card for double points this weekend.
Tim Johnson has taken to his new Sweet Chassis like a duck to water, securing fifth and seventh placed finishes in his last two starts. Johnson will be hoping to continue his good run and pick up his first podium finish of the season.
Robbie Bird was back in form at Latrobe last weekend, picking up a heat race win and sixth placed finish in the feature race. Bird will be looking for further improvement this weekend to get his first podium with his new Sweet Chassis.
Drivers will take on two heat races each to set the field for the main event. If you cannot make it to Hobart on Saturday every lap can be viewed live on Clay Per View.
