The second annual running of the Dan’s Automotive Modifeid Sedan Cup will be held on 12 September at Pioneer Park Speedway. Pioneer Park Speedway is located in Ayr, North Queensland approx 100km south of Townsville.
The event will pay the following:
1st – $1,000
2nd – $700
3rd – $300
4th to 20th – $100
Minimum $100 tow money.
Dan Hethorn owns and operates Dan’s Automotive in Townsville and was one of the head mechanics for drag racing superstar Gary Phillips and prides himself on his attention to detail. Dan is huge supporter of all types of motorsport including speedway where he helps and sponsors Adam Jorgensen.
Last years event was won by Adam Jorgensen and is working hard behind the scenes to make this a big event for Modified Sedans in North Queensland that is has already attracted interest from some of states best drivers.
Nominations are now open and drivers interested are urged to message Adam Jorgensen to nominate. It’s a great time for southerners to get some laps in as Mareeba Speedway will host the NQ Title the following weekend on 19th September and other events scheduled at Cairns which will host the 2021 Queensland Title in May next year.
