CT525 Crate Engine

There’s been a fair bit of interest since the weekend about the CT525 crate engine.

Our media team referred to it as ‘the little crate engine’ in tongue and cheek due to the smaller hp and smaller price tag when compared to some of the other engine dollars and hp figures being thrown around the pit paddock.

If a CT525 engine is used in a Super Sedan, the minimum weight limit is only 1000kg, 100kg lighter than using any other V8 engine.

But for those wanting to know more here are the CT525 Engine Specifications straight from our Super Sedan specification book dated November 2019 (current at the time of posting this information):

The engine shall be sealed as per existing SSA sealing procedures.

In addition to the above specifications the carburetor, starter, fuel system, exhaust system and front drive systems shall comply with the existing Super Sedan specifications as per the current specification found on our website.
