The Gympie Saloon Car Club proudly announces the second running of the Corbets Group Gympie Gold Rush Modified Sedan Showdown to be held at Corbets Group Mothar Mountain Speedway on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th of September 2018.

The inaugural running of the event attracted some of the best Modified Sedan competitors in the country and this years follow up event will surely host another list of the best drivers in the division as starters for the event.

A free practice night will be held on the Friday night (28th September 2018) prior to racing to get everyone dialled in for the next two nights of first class competition. A free barbeque will follow the practice session.

Club President Allan Jennings was all smiles when announcing the second running of the event. Once again, we have the backing of Corbets Group for the event. They are magnificent supporters of our local club and race track. This season, Ian Boettcher Race Parts have joined in with the meeting and will provide merchandise in the form of Seat Belts and Window Nets, as winning bonuses for heats and mini-features over the two nights of racing, he said

Night 1.
3 rounds of heats.
Odds and Evens Point Score 20 Lap Mini-Features.
Night 2.
2 rounds of heats.
B Main.
35 Lap Feature Final.
Prize Money.
1st $3000.00 + trophy.
2nd $1500.00 + trophy.
3rd $1000.00 + trophy.
4th $750.00 + trophy.
5th $600.00 + trophy.
6th $450.00
7th $300.00
8th $250.00 through to 20th .

An Ian Boettcher Race Parts American Race Tyre for the last place getter still running at the conclusion of the feature race.

One window net compliments of Ian Boettcher Race parts will be presented to a winner per round of heats.

Each winner of the night one Mini-Feature will receive a race seat belt compliments of Ian Boettcher Race Parts.

Minimum prize money of $200.00 per starter of the Sowdown.
Three Lucky Dog draws of $200.00 will be drawn at the drivers briefing prior to the event on night 1.
