Victorian and Tasmanian Champion Jamie Collins has romped to a dominant victory in Round Three of the Victorian Super Sedan Series at Alexandra Speedway.
Mick Nicola Jnr returned after missing round two at Rushworth, and got his night underway with a win in the opening heat of the night.
Collins crossed the line second, ahead of Lionel West in third.
West took out heat two in a tight affair, crossing the line narrowly clear of Nicola Jnr in second, and Collins in third.
Collins was too good in heat three, getting the best of Nicola Jnr in second, and West in third.
Nicola Jnr secured pole position for the main event, with Collins set to start from the outside of the front row.
Collins got the better of the start from the outside and set off into the lead from Nicola Jnr, West, Trav Ramsdale and Dave Mackenzie.
Collins was in a league of his own and put a big gap between himself and the chasing pack in short order.
Nicola Jnr was under pressure in second with West close on his tail in third.
Collins streaked away and went on to greet the chequers seven seconds clear to secure his first feature win of the season.
Nicola Jnr fended off the challenge of West and crept away in the closing stages to finish second.
West took home his first podium finish of the season crossing the line in third, from Ramsdale in fourth, and Mackenzie rounding out the finishers in fifth.
