We are staring right down the barrel of the summer season finally kicking off, and this weekend it is Collie Speedway who is opening its doors, with plenty of action across Speedway Sedan Divisions.
Not only will it be the traditional opener for Collie with the Curley Fishlock Memorial, awarded to the driver who accumulates the most amount of points over the night, but also the Collie Club Championships for Junior Sedans and Street Stocks, who will have their SSA Street Stock WA Title held at the venue in March.
Street Stocks have attracted a great field including local heroes Cody Avins, Ethan Genev, Damon Thomson and Paul Briggs, while plenty of travellers are also joining the fray in their first chance at a hitout on the Collie clay in 2025/26.
The Junior Sedans have been boosted by the nominations of Australian Champion Harrison Beres and Australia #3 Jesse Hamon in the Top Stars while the New Stars have plenty of new talent hitting the track.
The Production Sedans should also see plenty of action, heavy hitters including last start feature winner Kane McDiarmid, Barry Rose, Mick Hamon, Nuno Mendes and Wayne Leviston all in the field, while the Modified Sedans also have a few cars coming for a run.
The pit gates open at 2pm, with the first race scheduled for 6pm.
