Lawson Clarke put on another stellar performance to race his way to NSW #1 adding to the long list of triumphs for 2026.
In 6 action packed heat races, the youngest competitors within the SSA Community showed a packed crowd at Northwest Speedway, Narrabri they had 1 goal in mind and that was to be the best of the best…
The night started with the grand parade for SSA Juniors and the awarding of Best Presented.
Huge congratulations goes to Aston Bilson & team for rolling out his Mitsubishi Lancer in pristine condition which shows the pride these young kids take in their gear.
Joining Aston in the Top 3 for Best Presented Erica Robinson in her #9 and Benji Gordon NT1.
Heat races saw winning honours go to
Erica Robinson securing 2x heats, Baxter Attard, Lawson Clarke, Kody Burnham & Travis Dhu.
With 18 Competitors contending the title pole position would go to the GFT #37 of Travis Dhu who took the gamble and elected to start on the outside of a fast pack of Racers. Erica Robinson would share front row honours and got a strong start to battle for the lead early.
As the race progressed positions throughout the field changed multiple times. Lawson Clarke would take a strong lead from Erica after 6 laps down and the pair would pull away with Erica reeling Lawson in to narrowly finish on 2nd place behind a dominating Clarke.
The battle of the night would be the race for minor placings between Jake Synnott, Lincoln Willis & Baxter Attard.
These young men raced hard but clean to put on a show with Jake taking 3rd, Lincoln 4th & Baxter crossing in 5th Place.
Post Race Checks would commence shortly after the completion of the event to ensure the Top 5 were compliant to the SSA Junior Sedan Specifications.
During the inspection of engine components the technical officials found an engine discrepancy with the #9 of Erica Robinson which excluded her from the results and unfortunately bought to an end a near faultless night for Erica and the team.
As with any car being found non compliant at post race checks, a penalty must be imposed to Competitor and Car Owner under Speedway Australia rule 7.9.3.
Speedway Sedans NSW congratulates all competitors and teams that supported this year’s event.
We would also like to thanks the Northwest Speedway Club and Sponsors Gordon’s Earthmoving & Burke’s Farms for supplying gift packs & Fuel Vouchers to all SSA Competitors in attendance.
The show could not be complete without the support of Patty Moore, Sam Gamble, Harper Dhu & Mila Willis who took to the track in the Northwest New Star Cup.
This was an invitational from the northwest club to include these kids on their program.
All 4 raced amazing and done SSA Juniors proud to know they are apart of a strong future in SSA racing.
