The Tasmanian Super Sedan Series is set to headline one of the biggest nights on the Tasmanian Speedway calendar.
The traditional Boxing Night race meeting at Cranes Combined Carrick Speedway is going to be a huge night of action, with twenty two Super Sedans set to contest Round Four of the Tazz Auto Shots TSSS brought to you by Roberts Don Mac and the time honoured Geoff Stagg Memorial.
It has been the Callum Harper show so far in the series, but with Harper absent there is a wide range of drivers capable of going to victory lane on Boxing Night.
Launceston veteran David Nichols secured a runner up finish in round two, before another top five in round three. Nichols will be hoping to put on a show on his home track on Boxing Night to take the victory and his fourth Geoff Stagg Memorial win in ten years.
Also on his home track will be Adam Beechey who has recorded a third and fourth placed finish since his return to racing in Tasmania. Beechey will be hoping to get his first victory since his return, and to claim the third Geoff Stagg Memorial win of his career.
Luke Gunn qualified on the front row in round three before spinning on the opening lap. Gunn surged back through the field and still scored a runner up finish.
Gunn will be hoping to carry that form into Boxing Night and take home the second feature win of his Super Sedan career, and his first Geoff Stagg Memorial.
Steve Latham secured his first podium finish of the season last time out in Hobart, and will be hoping to improve again on Boxing Night to take home his first victory of the season.
Leon Cleary has been ultra consistent so far this season claiming a heat race win at every round, and currently sitting third in the points standings.
Cleary will be hoping to continue his consistent run, and to put a dent into Harper’s lead at the top of the points standings.
Laura Davidson was on fire in the opening round, securing a runner-up finish, and a big haul of points. Davidson has since suffered to DNF’s and will be chasing a return to form at Carrick on Boxing Night.
Racing will kick off at 5pm with each driver set to tackle two heat races each to set the field for the thirty lap main event.
