Brad Herbert has won his fourth Feature Race of the season, and his second at the Cranes Combined Carrick Speedway, when he won the Modified Sedan Boxing Day Bonanza A Main on Tuesday night.
On a slick race track, last start winner, Craig Williams would start from pole alongside Brad McKendrick, while Herbert would start from position three.
Williams would get a good start, as did Herbert who immediately moved into second place. The duo pulled away and raced side by side for the opening laps, while McKendrick, Josh Marston, Trent Quillerat and Jake Taurian were engaged in a four-way battle for the minor placing.
The first of two stoppages in the race would come when Tomas Hext was forced to retire to the infield. The subsequent restart would see Marco Taurian move to fifth at the expense of his son, Jake.
With seven laps remaining, contact between Quillerat and McKendrick, would see Quillerat sent to the rear of the field.
Herbert, who earlier had passed Williams, would go on to win by four car lengths, while McKendrick continued his consistency finishing third, while Jake Taurian recovered to finish fourth ahead of Josh Marston and Nathan Russell.
