Karratha’s Joel Bowman has this afternoon gone fastest in official practice ahead if the 2026 SSA Junior Sedan National Title at Tyres & More Esperance Speedway.
Bowman took advantage of an early run, setting the benchmark of 17.971 in the third run, which would last for the remainder of the afternoon, the only driver to go sub-18 seconds.
Thirty sessions were conducted overall, and it wasn’t until the final session that Victorian Jake Bradley moved into second overall when he recorded a 18.036 lap.
Noah Bain set a 18.053 in session four while teammate Jamie Comley (18.056 in session thirteen) and Esperance local Jacob Hill (18.105 in session twenty) rounded out the top five fastest cars.
Seventy seven of the eighty-four cars in the Title would practice, with only six local cars and WA Champion Oscar Amato, who won a feature at the venue a few weeks ago, electing not to take the track.
Grid draws will be posted later tonight, with twenty-four heats across three rounds set to take place tomorrow night, while the final round of eight heats plus all the main events will be held on Saturday night.
