Three Time Western Australian Production Sedan Champion Kye Blight has claimed a commanding victory in the CTM Recruitment Production Sedan Classic at the Ellenbrook Speedway on Sunday Night.
Doubling as Round Three of the 2025 Jim’s Test & Tag Production Sedan Four Crowns Series, Blight assumed the lead after the demise of pole sitter and defending Production Sedan Classic champion Nuno Mendes and Josh Fraser who were strong over the two days of competition.
Mendes suffered a flat tyre on lap six despite leading early with Blight assuming the lead of the race with Fraser his nearest challenger retiring on lap fourteen.
Despite sustaining panel damage in the early stages which threatened to derail Blight’s race, the driver of the AFI Towing backed W41 sailed away from the field with Broome’s Jorj Park trying valiantly to run down the three time state champion.
Jacky Moroney looked on course for a podium result before heading infield within sight of the finish as the battle for third place raged in the concluding stages between Jayden McCuish, Rickie Nuccini, Jamie Graham & Lachie Dellar.
Blight would cruise to victory with a winning margin of nearly four seconds from Park with McCuish narrowly prevailing for third from Nuccini and Jamie Graham.
A brilliant exhibition of Production Sedan racing that went green to chequer without a stoppage in front of great crowd that were trackside on the Sunday evening.
The final round of the 2025 Jim’s Test & Tag Production Sedan Four Crowns Series will be conducted in conjunction with the Production Sedan Feature at the Narrogin Speedway on Saturday 1st November 2025.
