SSA Production Sedan New South Wales Champion Jordan Biviano has tonight gone fastest in official practice at Speedway Wangaratta ahead of this weekend’s Lincoln Earthmoving SSA Production Sedan National Title.
Biviano was quick from the first time he hit the track, recording a 17.972 second lap in the third session, only to lower that time to a 17.918 in the twentieth session, setting the fastest two laps of the evening and the only driver to drop into the seventeen second bracket.
Western Australia’s Clint Noakes was next best with a 18.058 in session eight while former National Champion Trevor Mills went third quickest with a 18.079 in session eighteen only to experience mechanical issues which may jeopardise his campaign tomorrow.
Queenslander Nathan Barbeler (18.098 in session twenty-one) and New South Wales driver Dale Corbett (18.122 in session twenty) rounded out the top five quickest drivers.
In all, sixty-five of the seventy nominated competitors hit the track across twenty-eight practice sessions tonight.
Racing kicks off in earnest tomorrow night with three rounds of heats prior to Saturday night when the final round will be held ahead of the finals.
