ALL ROADS LEAD SOUTH FOR CHAMPIONSHIP

Press Release by South West Sedan Championship.

It has been some sort of delay, but the Ivix Industries South West Sedan Championship will finally make its first appearance at the Trade Hire Augusta Margret River Speedway.

Last season’s round was not run due to the global pandemic, but that has not stopped South West Best’s making their way down south this weekend.

This weekend’s event will turn into a big unknown for many drivers with many drivers seeing the venue for the first time in quite some time.

Current series leader Michael Hamon has a huge task on hand, with the biggest field of Street Stocks seen in Margret River in recent years, including trying to hold club president Clint Hadley at bay who has been strong at a track he holds so dearly to his heart.

It will feel like a homecoming for Kyle Sayer, who called the Margret River Club his home club for many seasons and a win in front of a place so dear to him against the likes of Rickie Nuccini and Jason Batchelor would go down ever so sweeter.

Junior Sedans will be a whole different ballgame, with a possibility of a new series leader heading into the final round as Brandon Buszan and Seth Hinsey not in attendance, clearing the way for Makayla Hinsey and Ziggy Phillips to swoop in and take the top spot.

The nomination list still has a chance to increase with nominations not closing until race time, visit www.amrspeedway.com

Racing is set to get underway at 5 pm.
