The spotlight turns to Western Speedway, Hamilton this Saturday night as the best young talent from across the country converge for the Speedway Sedans Australia Junior Sedan Victorian Title.
A strong field of twenty seven drivers has been assembled for the prestigious event, ensuring a fiercely competitive fight for the coveted VIC#1 crown under lights.
This year’s title has attracted competitors from five different states, highlighting the national significance of the event.
Leading the charge is reigning Australian Champion Lachie Burke from Queensland, while Tasmania will be represented by Tyler Smith and Brookelyn Thompson.
A strong contingent from South Australia will also be in attendance, alongside New South Wales representative (and WA Champion) Lawson Clarke, who joins a deep field of local Victorian competitors.
Adding further intrigue, Jake Bradley returns as the only driver from last year’s podium, having finished third in 2025. With valuable experience on the big stage, Bradley will be looking to go even better this time around.
The championship format is set to deliver high-intensity racing from start to finish. Each driver will contest three 10-lap qualifying heats, with points determining the top 16 who advance directly to the A-Main. A 15-lap B-Main will then provide a last-chance opportunity, with six drivers transferring to the rear of the feature field.
Form coming into the event is strong right across the field. Violet Thorne enters full of confidence after claiming two feature race victories last weekend, while drivers such as Maddy Beach, Jake Synnott and James Peacock have been consistently impressive across the country in recent months.
With twenty-seven drivers, five states represented, and a championship on the line, fans can expect thrilling, wheel-to-wheel action as the next Victorian Champion is crowned.
