2026/27 WA Titles Announced!

by | Mar 3, 2026 | WA

Speedway Sedans Western Australia is proud officially announce the dates and venues for the 2026/27 SSWA WA Titles!’

Kicking off the Title season will be a first for SSWA, with Collie Speedway set to host both the SSA Super Sedan and SSA Modified Sedan Titles across one blockbuster weekend. The event marks a return to a traditional two-night Title event for both divisions and promises an action-packed sedan showcase weekend that competitors and fans alike will enjoy.

It will be the first time in six years that Collie has hosted the Modified Title WA Title and the first time in five years it has hosted the Super Sedan WA Title. Impressively, it will also mark the fifth time the venue has staged both Titles. Sam McAuley will relish the chance to defend his hard-earned Title at the Collie venue, whilst it remains to be seen who might be coming into the show as the defending SSA Super Sedan WA Title holder, with the 2025/26 version to be decided in less than a fortnight’s time at Trade Hire Augusta Margaret River Speedway.

Next on the calendar are the SSA Street Stocks, who will return to the Ellenbrook Speedway in what is sure to be a huge weekend of racing. This will be the first time in ten years that Ellenbrook has hosted the WA Title and the fourth time overall. Fresh off winning his maiden SSA Street Stock WA Title, Mick Hamon will look to defend his crown at a venue he is very familiar with.

The SSA Junior Sedans will be next to take the stage, with Albany Speedway Club set to host the event for the first time since 2019 when Blake Iwanow claimed victory. It will be the seventh time the venue has hosted the Junior Sedan WA, drawing level with Ellenbrook for the most times hosting the event. The meeting will also mark Albany’s twenty fifth SSWA Title placing it clearly at the top in terms of total titles hosted.

This event is also held a week before the SSA Modified Sedan National Title at Kalgoorlie International Speedway, potentially giving drivers such as defending WA Champion Lawson Clarke the chance to head over with the family to contest two Titles in one trip!

Rounding out the 2026/27 season will be the SSA Production Sedan WA Title, heading back up to the Nickol Bay Speedway in Karratha. This will be the second time in five years the venue has hosted the event. Notably, it is also the track that reigning WA Champion Kyle Sayer claimed his first state title, ensuring he will enter the event as one of the favourites.

Although many of the Titles are slightly later in the season, this should enable those who so desire to travel East for their respective divisions National Titles.

Speedway Sedans Western Australia thanks all affiliated clubs for their submissions and looks forward to working closely with each venue into next season and beyond.
