Speedway Sedans Australia wishes to advise that the dates and venues for four of the five SSA National Titles have been finalised for the 2021/2022 season.
All four venues were scheduled to host these particular National Titles during the 2020/2021 season but with the ongoing uncertainty over COVID-19 restrictions, the events will now be staged during the 2021/2022 summer.
Gulf Western & Independent Oils Raceway located in Latrobe Tasmania will be the home of the SSA National Super Sedan Title in late January 2022 and will complete a huge month of racing on the Apple Isle for the class.
The SSA National Street Stock Title will return to the Make Smoking History Bunbury Speedway in Western Australia in early March, with the venue last hosting the event back in 2005.
It was at that event that history was made with the Oldfield brothers filling all three positions on the podium.
SSA Street Stocks are a large part of the rich tradition of Sedan Racing for the Bunbury Car Club with a big field expected to converge on the South West venue on the Labour Day Long weekend in early March.
The Heartland Raceway located close to Moama on the Murray River will host the SSA National Modified Sedan Title for the first time with the venue having hosted a very successful SSA National Super Sedan Title back in 2019.
The IBRP Kingaroy Speedway which has fast become the home of the biggest events seen in Australia for Speedway Sedan racing will host the SSA National Production Sedan Title over the Easter Weekend in 2022.
The Showgrounds venue will lend itself to a great atmosphere with SSA Production Sedans continuing to grow in popularity in the Sunshine State.
Unfortunately over the past weekend the National Capital Motorsports Club who operate the ACT Speedway have decided to forgo the opportunity to host the 2021/2022 SSA National Junior Sedan Title.
With the 2022/2023 SSA National Junior Sedan Title having already been allocated to the Borderline Speedway in Mount Gambier South Australia, expressions of interest have now commenced for venues who wish to host the 2021/2022 SSA National Junior Sedan Title,
Interested venues in hosting next season’s SSA National Junior Sedan Title are encouraged to contact the Speedway Sedans Australia office at office@speedwaysedans.com as soon as possible to obtain a submission form.
Submissions from venues in every state & territory in the country will be considered.
