Press Release by WA Modified Sedans
The 2021/2022 KCM Transport WA Modified Sedan Series will return to Moora Speedway this Saturday night for the final round of the 2021/2022 series and has attracted a healthy field of drivers looking to secure all important series points.
This weekend’s event is proudly presented by long time speedway supporters Blackman Fabrication and series sponsor KCM Transport, who have so kindly supported Modified Sedan racing here in WA.
Lee Watt and Luke Fraser have been the standout drivers in season 2021/2022 and will battle it right to the end as they look to secure a maiden series victory.
Watt has already played his joker card for the season, where Fraser has not and will this weekend to try jump to the top of the season points score.
Young guns Sam McAuley and Gaje Price have shown that they can never be discounted, after Sam McAuley won the last round of the KCM Transport WA Modified Sedan Series.
After stepping into the Anthony King FG Ford Falcon, Gaje Price has been super quick and will look for his first round win this Saturday.
This season, WA Modified Sedans have been pleased to see some new names join the Modified Sedan ranks including a trio of Higgs’ in Brenden, Jason and Jamie.
The trio have enjoyed their time with racing rubber and will take on the field of fifteen in Moora, including series regulars Shane Dubberlin, Merv Penn and Brett Mills.
Allan Mortimer will return to the series this weekend after extensive travel on the east coast representing Western Australia in some of the nation’s biggest Modified Sedan events, including the National Modified Sedan Title in Moama.
Mortimer will be joined by Jason Batchelor, Miranda Ball and Shaun Brewer.
The final driver entered for this weekend’s season final is Rick Musarra, former president of the WA Modified Drivers Association.
Racing will get underway from 6pm this Saturday night at Moora Speedway with all drivers looking to secure all important points in their three qualifying heats, before the top six drivers battle it out in the final Southern Stump and Mulching Services Shootout.
This will then be followed by the final twenty lap final of the season.
The West Australian Modified Drivers Association would like to thank Blackman Fabrication and KCM Transport for their support of this round of the series and would like to thank all sponsors, drivers and supporters for their support across the 2021/2022 season.
