Small Field For NSW Street Stock Title

The second ever New South Wales Street Stock Title, has failed to attract a large field of competitors, with just thirteen entries currently entered for the event, to be held this Saturday night at the Gilgandra Speedway.

Organisers will leave nominations open for the rest of the week, in the hope of attracting additional drivers for the event, in the fledgling Street Stock State.

The field is headed by current New South Wales Champion, Brad McClure, who despite not winning the National Title or Queensland Title in the previous two weeks, has finished on the podium at both events, and is sure to be tough to beat on Saturday night.

Despite it being a small field, every state is represented, with Andrew Norton from Broome in Western Australia, remaining on the east coast after the recent titles, as has Tasmanian's Matt Hammond and Dale Riley Jnr, both of who should figure prominently in proceedings.  Victorians, John Roycroft, Matt Nelson, Chris Stewart and Nathan Dunn are also in the field, while Andy Maxwell Jnr will represent South Australia.

John Lodge, who also finished on the National Title podium (third), should provide stiff opposition to McClure, with the Victorian Champion having the most experience at the Gilgandra venue.

A series of eight lap qualifying heats will be held prior to the thirty five lap A Main.
